Sarah Darby

Sarah is a Partner and Chartered UK Trade Mark Attorney managing trade mark, design and copyright matters for well-known global portfolios and fast-growth companies.

Her clients include both domestic and international clients in industry sectors such as luxury fashion, fintech, pharmaceuticals, and food sectors. Sarah provides strategic advice on all types of trade mark matters from the inception of a brand to commercialisation and enforcement of rights in opposition actions, cancellation actions and infringement matters. She also deals with domain name registrations, purchases, and complaints, as well as design matters.

Sarah focuses on delivering practical and effective advice in a responsive and easy to digest manner. In addition to the UK, her experience spans all the major territories including Europe, the US, and China, where she has co-ordinated over 200 invalidation actions.

Sarah regularly deals with contentious issues and assists clients to obtain commercial solutions such as negotiating settlements and co-existence agreements. With many of Sarah’s clients holding registrations in multiple countries (over 80 for one client), she is uniquely placed to advise on the international filing system as well as global portfolio management strategy for large sized portfolios.
