Leonita Paulraj

Leonita is a European and UK Patent Attorney in the field of Chemistry, Biotechnology and Pharmaceuticals. Leonita specialises in chemical subject matter, particularly pharmaceuticals, active pharmaceutical ingredients, formulation chemistry, new chemical entity, process chemistry, polymorphic forms, biochemistry, drug delivery, medical devices, medical uses, antibody and RNA therapeutics, healthcare services, petrochemicals, and agrochemicals.

Leonita is highly valued by clients because of her experience as a patent attorney in the UKIPO, EPO and India. She has been called on to provide legal advice on not only European and UK cases, but also for international cases in view of her exceptional knowledge & experience of international patent law and practice.

She has been involved in challenging and contentious work for leading global pharmaceutical companies and has been involved in defending and enforcing IP rights, including advising on opposition proceedings in Europe and have been involved in invalidation and litigation actions outside Europe in liaison with foreign attorneys.

Leonita has been very successful handling work which includes advising on patentability, drafting patent applications relating to new chemical entity, formulations and process chemistry, patent prosecution before the EPO, UKIPO and around the world, as well as oppositions and appeals before the EPO. Particularly, she has extensive experience in handling global portfolio and contentious matters for clients, involving multiple parties including licensees, and foreign attorneys.
