Ian Gill

Ian is a Partner and Trade Mark Attorney in Venner Shipley’s Trade Mark team and is one of a select number of UK attorneys qualified as both a Trade Mark Attorney and a European and UK Patent Attorney.

Ian possesses a wealth of knowledge and practical experience which he draws upon to advise clients on both contentious and non-contentious issues spanning the full spectrum of intellectual property law, including patents, registered designs, trade marks and copyright. He also coordinates the IP portfolios of numerous major brands.

Regularly recognised by leading intellectual property legal directories, Ian is widely known for providing top-class client care. He holds a degree in Aeronautical Engineering and demonstrates a deep understanding of the commercial challenges facing clients, applying a direct and practical approach to help solve the IP-related issues.
