Daniel is a Partner and Barrister with experience in our intellectual property litigation team. He has spent many years dealing with complex and technical patent matters often including multijurisdictional litigation and coordination, particularly across Europe, where he spent two years practicing in Paris.
Many of Dan’s cases have involved biosimilars and/or supplementary protection certificates, often dealing with high profile pharmaceutical cases. He also offers clients vast experience of supporting the exploitation of technology at the forefront for spin-outs and start-ups including licensing deals, materials transfer agreements, collaboration agreements, non-disclosure agreements and due diligence for corporate deals.
An experienced litigator, Dan has acted for clients across the full range of intellectual property rights at all levels of tribunal and has been a Deputy District Judge in the County Court since 2015. He also sits in the Intellectual Property Enterprise Court where he hears trade mark and copyright claims.
In addition to his legal qualifications, Dan has a first-class degree in molecular biology and biochemistry, sits on the consulting editorial board for LEXIS-NEXIS IP and contributes to books, journals, and international academic programmes.
He is a regular attendee at industry conferences and events.
