Claire is a European and UK Patent Attorney in our Electronics, Software and Communications team.

With a technical background in physics, Claire’s practice focusses on drafting and prosecuting patent applications in a variety of fields – from photonics to image processing to mechanical devices.

Claire enjoys engaging directly with clients to provide IP advice best suited to their unique commercial goals.

Education

Claire graduated from University College London with a first class honours degree in Physics. During her degree, she studied a broad range of subjects, with a particular focus on semiconductors, optics, and thermodynamics. Claire’s final year project involved creating a software tool for teaching the preliminaries of quantum field theory.

Since joining Venner Shipley, Claire has achieved a certificate in Intellectual Property Law from Queen Mary, University of London.
