Benji Gibber

Profile

Benji is a Part-qualified Patent Attorney in our Chemical and Life Sciences team based in Cambridge. Since joining Venner Shipley he has acquired experience in drafting and prosecuting UK, European and US patent applications in a wide range of technical areas including food chemistry, materials, pharmaceuticals and sensing devices.

Benji studied Chemistry at the University of Oxford, where his final-year Master’s project involved the synthesis of novel mechanically interlocked molecules for anion recognition. In Manchester, his PhD work investigated the applications of synthetic knotted and interlinked architectures in catalysis and switchable nanoparticle assemblies.

Education

Benji graduated from the University of Oxford in 2018 with a degree in Chemistry before completing his PhD in Supramolecular Chemistry at the University of Manchester.
