Alex Bone

Alex is a European and UK Patent Attorney in the Mechanical department, handling patent and design matters in the UK, Europe and around the world.

Alex’s long-held interest in all aspects of engineering and qualified background in chemical engineering allow him to quickly understand the workings of existing, new and developing chemical, mechanical, and electromechanical technologies.

Alex draws on his years of in-house experience to provide his clients with pragmatic and practical advice, allowing them to progress projects in an efficient and cost-effective manner. With over 20 years’ experience of advising businesses on their individual and unique IP strategies Alex quickly grasps the immediate needs of new clients, including managing freedom to operate risks and the harvesting and protection of product developments.

Whilst directly representing many established multinational clients at the UK and European patent offices, Alex equally enjoys advising smaller clients, particularly those at the early stage of a development project, where a well thought out IP strategy input can make a monumental difference to the success of a business.
